Serbia will compete at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010, to be held in Minsk, Belarus. RTS held a national final to select the fifth Serbian entry for the contest in September 2010. Out of 10 contestants, the winner of pre-selection and Serbian representative in Minsk will be Sonja Škorić with song "Čarobna noć". Čarobna noć is the second ballad song from Serbia to be sent at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In 2007, Nevena Božović represented Serbia at this competition and finished 3rd, with ballad Piši mi.

Serbian broadcaster RTS has announced the list of finalists of the national preselection Dečja Pesma Evrovizije 2010 that has been set for Sunday,26th of September. Music department of RTS selected 10 participants.Among them,there were 3 known participants of Serbian national final.Boško Baloš took part in the 2009 preselection, Sonja Škorić (later the winner) in 2008 preselection, both finishing 4th.Mia Jovanović was part of the group Čuće se in 2009 preselection, that finished 3rd.[1]

Dečja Pesma Evrovizije 2010 was held on Sunday,26th of September, as planned, in big Studio 8 of RTS, which was used for Serbian preselection for big Eurovision 2010.The running order of performances was drawn a few days before.The hosts were Kristina Radenković and Miki Damjanović, like in the last year's preselection.The show was directed by well-known Beovizija director, Darko Kamarit and was the best organised Serbian National Final for Junior Eurovision so far.The last year's Serbian representatives, group Ništa Lično, followed by the Children's choir of RTS, sang their song Onaj pravi for the opening act.Interval acts was two-part reportage of participants' camp on Sirona boat in Belgrade, showing each participant's performance during the karaoke on the boat.There were also 2 short films abaut host city of 2010 contest, and Serbian group last year in Kiev, during the left voting time. Winner was chosen by 5-member jury and televoting.Sonja Škorić got 12 points frome every single member of jury,and 345 messages,12 points from televoters.

Sonja Škorić is the first competitor from Belgrade or suburbs of it, to represent Serbia at Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She is from Pančevo.She was born in 1996.She likes music and is singing from the age of five.She had her first success at the festival Raspevano proleće, which she won in 2002.There is a big list of festivals she took part in and in the most winning prizes in country and abroad.[2] This was also the second time that Serbian National Final winner got 12 points from jury and televoters,finishing preselection with maximum 24 points.Nevena Božović was the first one.

At Junior Eurovision

By the draw for the running order,Serbian song was selected to perform the fourth. On November 20, Sonja Škorić performed on position 4.She was followed by 2 ballerinas, and the coreography was changed after National Final.There were no clowns,and modern dancer.The stage was dark,and there were blue lights on.Moving stars were on the LED screens.As the song was going on, lights became yellow, and then the whole stage was lighted.Sonja started singing alone on the stage, and she finished like that. Serbia finished this contest third, only 7 points behind the winner, scoring 113 points.
